Day 1
Tuesday, Sept 15
Our Travels take us through Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. We will over night at the Hampton Inn in Huntington, WV. B
Day 2
Wednesday, Sept 16
Late afternoon will find us in the Williamsburg, VA. We will check into the Embassy Suites for the next two nights where a fun reception with drinks and snacks will be held before we have our “pizza party” BD

Thursday, Sept 17
We will spend the day in Colonial Williamsburg. Colonial Williamsburg is the world’s largest living history musuem . It consists of many of the buildings that from 1699 to 1780 that formed the colonial capital of Williamsburg. In Colonial Williamsburg’s 301-acre Historic Area stand hundreds of restored, reconstructed, and historically furnished buildings. Costumed interpreters tell the stories of the men and women of the 18th-century city—black, white, and native American, slave, indentured, and free—and the challenges they faced. In this historic place, they help the future learn from the past. We will enjoy dinner at one of the colonies taverns before heading back to the hotel for the evening. BD
Day 4
Friday, Sept 18
Enjoy a morning stop at the Yankee Candle company and the Williamsburg Pottery Barn before heading to Monticello, the home of President Thomas Jefferson. Monticello was a working plantation, home to both the Jefferson family and an extended community of workers, black and white, enslaved and free. On the quarter farms of Monticello as many as 130 enslaved African Americans raised crops and tended livestock, made nails and barrels, cloth and carriages. They helped to build the house, crafted many of its furnishings, and cultivated the gardens. Lunch will be at Monticello before heading to Washington DC and the Best Western, Georgetown Hotel for the next 3 nights. BL
Day 5
Saturday, Sept 19
The morning will be spent with our step on guide for a complete tour of Washington DC. See the stirring Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy, Korean, Vietnam, FDR Memorials, WW2 Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial and a stop at Arlington National Cemetery. We will drop off our guide at Union Station and you will have a couple hours of free time to eat, shop and explore at your own pace. We will attend church services at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Immalute Conception for church services. Tonight we will have dinner on your own and the rest of the evening will be yours to enjoy. B
Day 6
Sunday, Sept 20
We are going to spend the day in the Smithsonian Institution exploring one of the 15 different museums offered. Start your day at Smithsonian Institution Information Center better known as the “Castle”, one of the oldest museums in Washington, and filled with information to help you with your day at the museums. Lunch will be provided at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in the Atrium Café. You are free tonight to dine at one of the many restaurants located near our hotel. BL
Day 7
Monday, Sept 21
We will depart Washington DC this morning but before leaving the area we are going to make one more stop to visit Mt Vernon, Home of our first President, George Washington. We will stay in Streetsboro, OH at the Hampton Inn for the night. BL
Day 8
Tuesday, Sept 22
We will travel through Ohio, Indiana and Illinois today before arriving back in Peru in the early evening.
