Day 1
Tuesday, Oct. 5
Board our deluxe motor coach, relax and enjoy the view as we head east to Ashtabula, OH for our overnight stay at the Hampton Inn.
Day 2
Wednesday, Oct. 6
Enjoy breakfast at our hotel with your new friends before boarding the bus as we travel thru Pennsylvania and into New York. We will be staying overnight in Glen Falls, NY at the Queensbury Motel at the base of the Adirondack Mountains. (B)
Day 3
Thursday, Oct. 7
Breakfast will be a quick stop along the way before a full day of activities. We will take the Ferry from Port Kent, NY across Lake Champlain to Burlington, VT. We will have lunch in Burlington, VT followed by a visit to the Vermont Teddy Co. where we will take the tour and then make a special Teddy Bear of our own. A short drive away will be the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and a tour on how the ice cream is made along with some good samples. Dinner will be on the way to our hotel. Our home away from home tonight will be in Littleton, NH at the East Gate Motor Inn.
Day 4
Friday, Oct. 8
Following breakfast in our hotel, we will depart on a beautiful drive along Rt. 302 thru the White Mountains of New Hampshire to Conway, NH. We will take The Scenic Train from the historic Train Station that was built in 1874. Lunch will be served in the dining car as we travel through the beautiful countryside of New Hampshire. Freeport and the LL Bean Store along with some great shopping will be our next stop. Dinner will be at the Jameson Tavern in Freeport before checking into the Hampton Inn in Saco. (B,L,D)
Day 5
Saturday, Oct. 9
Departing after breakfast in our hotel, our destination will be Kennebunkport and a 45 minute Trolley Tour that is an entertaining narrated sightseeing tour providing interesting and informative facts of the area. Our next stop will be the world Famous Flo's Hot Dogs in York. Some people have been known to fly in special, just for a "Flo-dog" and it's "must have" special secret sauce. Now it's time to walk off all those hot dogs at the Kittery Outlet Stores. There are many stores to find your special purchases. Our dinner will be in York at the Lobster Barn. A short drive to Portsmouth, NH and the Comfort Inn Yokens will be our over night lodging. (B,D)
Day 6
Sunday, Oct. 10
After breakfast in our hotel we will be traveling to Lancaster, PA and the Your" Place Country Inn" for the next two nights. (B)
Day 7
Monday, Oct. 11
We will have breakfast in our hotel before starting a full day of fun. We are going to the Amish Farm for a tour of both the Farm and the House where our guide will join us for the tour of the House and an hour tour in the country side. The farm is a self guided tour where you can investigate the various barns, water wheel, windmill, line kiln and much more. A special buggy ride will show you more of the farm without walking. Visit Rocky the local blacksmith and Janet, the quilt artist as they show you how to do their craft. Tucked in the town of Intercourse, PA is a very special village with 32 shops, called the Kitchen Kettle Village. Lunch will be offered At the Kling House Restaurant or follow your nose down Pepper Lane to Banjo Jimmy to Lancaster Country's nationally celebrated jam and relish kitchen. We will return to our hotel for a relaxing dinner. (B,D)
Day 8
Tuesday, Oct. 12
Following breakfast in our hotel, we will travel to Hershey, PA The Hershey Trolley Works will take us on a tour of Hershey and we will learn more about the man that made Hershey, PA famous. Followed by a visit to the Hershey Chocolate World Visitors Center for samples of good candy and experience a real Hershey's Kisses chocolates manufacturing line during their factory tour and then watch the Hershey's Really Big 3D Show. Lunch will be at Chocolate World..mmmm..I wonder if they will serve any chocolate??? Youngstown, OH will be our last night on the road at the Hampton Inn. (B,L)
Day 9
Wednesday, Oct. 13
MBreakfast will be in our hotel before departing for home. We will pass the day remembering all the good times and great friends we have met on our Fall Foliage Trip to New England. We will arrive back home in the early evening. (B)
