What better way to enjoy an Illinois winter than in sunny Daytona Beach Florida with Green River Lines! You can start 2012 with an extended stay of 23 days at the completely renovated Holiday Inn Beach Resort located right on the beach. All rooms are facing the ocean with a panoramic view of Daytona Beach right from your own private balcony. This property has access to the beach, a heated pool, hot tub, laundry facilities and an on site restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
Your trip will include side trips once we reach our Daytona Beach destination. We have planned this year a trip to a “working” orange plantation, musical theater, group dinners, Amelia Island and St. Augustine tour, a Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour and more. We also include in every Florida trip a River Romance Luncheon Cruise. Our motorcoach will take you to the Flea Market, grocery shopping and other small side trips. We also have the Atlantic Room that we use for our social headquarters to play cards, Bingo or catch a movie. We also have breakfast hour every morning in the Atlantic Room.
The first night lodging will be at the Radisson Opryland in Nashville. Your second night lodging will be at the LaQuinta Inn in Valdosta. We arrive in Daytona on the third day early afternoon. After you are checked in to your room and your luggage delivered we take off for the grocery store so you may stock up on items you would like to keep in your room. This year we will have the majority of the rooms will be microwave and refrigerators. We will have a very limited number of efficiencies with stove (no oven) and refrigerator. On our return trip we will be staying the first night out at Holiday Inn & Suites in Acworth, GA and the next night at Drury Inn in Mt. Vernon, IL. All hotels enroute offer a hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Your lunch and dinner on the road are at your own expense. We do make comfort stops approximately every two hours once we are rolling down the road. We are offering only one trip this year and have extended the days in Florida. We would love for you to join in on the Sunshine and the fun and go along! You will wonder why you haven’t done this sooner.
The Florida Sunshine Tour includes: Hotels en route, Radisson in Nashville, TN and LaQuinta in Valdosta, GA. The return hotels en route: Holiday Inn in Acworth, GA and Drury Inn in Mt. Vernon, IL.
