Day 1
Thursday, Nov. 1
Today is our travel day as we journey to Branson for the 2008 Season of Christmas Shows. We will check into our hotel, the Grand Oaks Lodge, right in the heart of all the action on Hwy 76. This will be our home away from home for the next 3 nights We will arrive just time for dinner at Sadie’s Sideboard and on to see the “Spirit of Christmas Show” with special guest star “Jimmy Osmond” and the Osmond Brothers. The Spirit of Christmas comes alive in this high energy production, featuring your favorite Christmas songs, dazzling costumes and scenery, high stepping kick lines, with amazing singers and dancers. The multi-talented Osmond Brothers take center stage through out the show and capture the audience with there unique charisma and musical talents. (D)
Day 2
Friday, Nov. 2
Breakfast at our hotel and then on to the Doug Gabriel Show. This is a show filled with song, fun and laughter from the “little man with the big voice”, and has been voted “Male Vocalist of the Year” for 7 years. Eat you dessert first!! That is the rules when we go to lunch at McFarlians restaurants. The “Traffic Jam” Pie is wonderful, and so is the rest of your meal. Daniel O’Donnell is one of the hottest tickets in Branson and we got him!! Join us for an afternoon with Daniel as he sings traditional Irish ballads, country favorites, Rock and Roll and traditional gospel. Following dinner at Montona Mikes, we will enjoy Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express. Clay and his incredible cast have created a high energy show filled with singing, dancing, gun slinging and comedy. A good way to get the morning started. (B,L,D)
Day 3
Saturday, Nov. 3
After Breakfast, get ready for Shoji!!!….the most entertaining production in Branson. Along with his Christmas Songs, he will play and sing music of all kinds from Country to Classical to Rock and Roll. We are going to slow the pace down a bit and head for downtown Branson and see the new multi-million Branson Landing downtown area. Shopping, food and entertainment along with the old downtown Branson. Don’t forget to stop in the old fashion five and dime of years past! Enjoy lunch in one of the many new restaurants before heading back to the bus. Dixie Stampede is decorated for Christmas and will delight you with their special Christmas show. Sit back and enjoy the show while you are served a dinner fit for a king. Before heading back to our hotel for the night, we will drive through the Branson Festival of Lights.(B,D)
Day 4
Sunday, Nov. 4
TThis is a travel day as we head back north to Illinois but the fun isn’t over yet as we continue our fun aboard the coach. We are also going to make a stop in Lebanon, MO at the Russell Stover Candy Factory outlet store, a good time to stock up on those “sweet” Christmas gifts. Remembering the good times we had and the new friends we have met…the perfect way to start the Christmas season. Arriving back to our cars in the early evening. (B)
